The companion piece to PAIN, Analgesia represents the opposite. While pain is associated with chaos and inflammation, fear, anger and stress, pain relief is associated with order, calm, and peace. Using ice as the inspiration, which is a classic pain relief method, this painting highlights the role of the nervous system in generation of analgesia.Recent efforts are underway to develop novel treatment approaches to relieve chronic pain. We hope in the coming years, there will be new choices available for all individuals with chronic pain.
